Genesis

Suzuki’s Intruder 150 is the answer to the Bajaj’s avenger, showing that they can also make good low capacity cruiser bike.
The Suzuki Intruder was a chain of cruiser motorcycles manufactured by Suzuki from 1985 to 2005. In 2006 the Intruder line-up was replaced by the Boulevard motorcycle.
Europeans know the Intruder by the same name and it is in use on certain models. The VS Intruder bikes have 4-stroke V-twin engines.
In India, it was launched in November 2017, and instantly it became a hit in the bike industry

Looks and Design

Drawing its looks straight from its big brother intruder M800 and having the underpinning from its another brother Suzuki Gixxer, we can say it looks both amazing and strange at the same time.
The front and side views are stunning but, the rear part is not up to the expectation level. The heavy tail-light looks strange and sometimes overdone.
The headlamp is really a good sight with a heavy look and giving it a muscular cruiser feel.
With big wide body and with that headlamp it really looks like a scaled-down version of intruder 1800. But talking about similarity Intruder 150 gets all its parts from the Gixxer engine, chassis, suspension, gearbox and even the tyres are borrowed from Gixxer.

Ride quality and comfort

It looks like the Suzuki was in hurry and didn’t want to work hard to make it good.

As we all know, Gixxer is really good bike and has really good handling and mileage and comfort. They even didn’t bother to tune the engine for a cruiser. The only chassis has been bit extended so that intruder can have long wheelbase which gives it high-speed stability, and the gearbox has been tweaked to make it better. As the chassis is from Gixxer it is really good in cornering. Even the instrument cluster is from Gixxer so there is all information available clear. But the position of the key is a bit too forward so ahead that it is directly on top of the headlamp. Giving intruder same tyres as that of Gixxer was way too much, at least give it wider tyres at back to give its looks some justice, but from the front, there are no complaints. Even there is no vibration which is really good. With standard front and back disc brake and abs, there are breaking issues. Only we could find was with its small fuel tank, which just 11L and that is way too small for a cruiser bike.

If you looking for a low capacity good looking cruiser bike look no further. It can give both comfort and handling.

Looks and Design
A stunning look with a muscular body and having a 16-inch wheelbase and chunky tyres giving it a good hold on the ground.
Not just the external looks but the interiors is also a work of art. At the first glance you will get a premium feel inside and very spacious. The curvy roof makes even a tall person sit comfortably and without any adjustments.
In the backseat, when fully packed, the person seated in the middle may feel a little uncomfortable in long drives as the space in that region is not as spacious.

Storage space is good and boot space is 350 L.

Driving experience
Talking about the handling of this car it has the highest ground clearance compared to its rivals and a powerful engine. There’s a drawback is in its weight, which is 100kg more compared to its competitors.
The steering wheel is exceptionally good with good feedback giving a confident driving experience to the driver.
Acceleration is smooth with torque and power kicking in from 1.2k rpm to 4.5k rpm so you can say that the rev band is better.
It provides you with three modes; Eco, city and sports. In Eco mode, the car feels stressed and jerks at low rpm. In the city, it gets a bit better but you can feel a little jerking sometimes.
Sports mode is when the engine comes to life and you will enjoy the ride to its fullest.
Nexon is very stable at high speed and with the ground clearance of 209 mm, it can do a bit of mild off-road action.
The high ground clearance and weight it may sometimes scare you of the car turning over but the fear will not stay longer as you continue driving. In the beginning, you will feel a starting trouble but, after that, it is your best buddy. Curves on the road will be your favourite and suspension giving you the quality ride, there is no time needed to blend with this stunning muscular car. It is so well designed that even if the tyres go in the potholes, you don’t feel a thing.
The gear ratio of Tata Nexon is 1-4i, which is good for acceleration and gives a sporty feel. 5th & 6th gear is a good choice for better mileage.
